Anytime Sim Golf does exactly what it says, you can show up at any hour, day or night, and get a bay. No staff, no front desk, no fuss. For a certain type of golfer that's exactly what they want. Here's our honest take on whether it delivers.

Located at 103–889 Vaughan Ave in Kelowna's Brewery District, Anytime Sim Golf is one of the more unique simulator setups in the valley. The fully automated, self serve model is different from the lounge style venues you'll find elsewhere in the city, and that difference cuts both ways depending on what you're after.

How It Works

The booking process is one of Anytime Sim's best features. You head to anytimesim.golf, pick your bay and time slot, and pay online. A door code is sent to you 2 hours before your tee time, show up, punch in the code, and you're in. No waiting around for someone to check you in, no awkward front desk interaction, no opening hours to work around.

The facility runs entirely without on site staff. That's the core concept and, for solo practice sessions or a small group that knows what they want, it works really well. The 24/7 access is genuinely useful, late night rounds after work, early morning sessions before the rest of the city wakes up, or a rainy afternoon at a moment's notice.

The Space

When you walk in the front door, you enter a long hallway with a bench running along the main wall. This is where the layout shows its limitations, with all 4 bays booked, that corridor gets tight. Walking past other golfers mid swing or interrupting someone sitting on the bench between shots is an unavoidable part of the experience when it's at full capacity. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's worth knowing if you're sensitive to that sort of thing.

Once you're actually in your bay, the story changes. The bays themselves are roomy, well set up, and give you plenty of space to swing freely without feeling restricted. The simulator mats are in great shape, no worn patches or dead spots, which is a good sign for a venue that's open around the clock without staff to monitor wear and tear.

Simulator Quality & Course Selection

The simulators themselves deliver a solid experience. Course selection is extensive, you'll have no trouble finding familiar layouts or trying something new, and the visual quality is sharp. For a practice session focused on ball striking and course management, Anytime Sim has everything you need.

There's no launch monitor data displayed in the same way you'd get at a high end coaching facility, but for recreational play and general practice, the setup is more than adequate. The mats simulate real fairway and rough reasonably well, and the swing feedback from the simulator is consistent.

Location & Parking

Vaughan Avenue puts Anytime Sim right in Kelowna's Brewery District, which is one of its best selling points. Several great spots are within easy walking distance — Red Bird Brewing is a Kelowna staple worth knowing about, Office Brewery runs a great happy hour, Rustic Reel Brewing is solid for a post round pint, and Pretty Not Bad is a great food option nearby. Grab a bay for an hour, then walk over, it's a genuinely great little neighbourhood.

Parking is the one practical headache. The area has a mix of free and paid spots nearby, but availability is inconsistent, particularly on evenings and weekends when the Brewery District is busy. Budget a few extra minutes to find a spot and you'll be fine, just don't assume you'll park right out front.

Amenities — What to Expect

This is where Anytime Sim's self serve model shows its tradeoff most clearly. There is no food, no drinks beyond water, and no staff on site to help troubleshoot if something isn't working or if you have questions about the simulator setup. If you're used to the full lounge experience at a venue like OVG or Golf Evolution, this will feel noticeably stripped back.

That said, it's not trying to be those venues. If you want a drink and a lounge vibe, the Brewery District's options are steps away. Anytime Sim is purely focused on the golf, you're there to hit balls, not to be hosted.
