Two Eagles is a must play. Before you write it off as "just a par 65," hear us out. This is the best maintained course on the west side of Kelowna, the only facility with a driving range on this side of the bridge, and home to one of the best restaurant patios in the entire valley. It earns its spot on any Okanagan golf itinerary.

Located in West Kelowna, Two Eagles Golf Course & Academy sits tucked into a residential community with fairways that weave through established neighbourhoods. Don't let that put you off. The course is open, well designed, and genuinely enjoyable to play regardless of what you shoot.

The Course

Two Eagles plays as a par 65, which tends to raise eyebrows among golfers used to measuring a course's worth by par alone. Get that out of your head. The layout is creative, well maintained, and more than capable of challenging a mid handicapper while remaining genuinely accessible for beginners. The shorter par means you're hitting into greens more often, spending less time grinding through long par 5s, and actually enjoying the round.

The fairways are immaculate. This is the best conditioned course on the west side of Kelowna by a clear margin. The greens are consistent, the rough is managed well, and the overall presentation of the course reflects a team that takes real pride in how the place looks and plays. It's the kind of course where you notice the conditioning before you've even teed off.

The course runs through a residential community with homes lining many of the fairways. For some golfers that's a dealbreaker; here it actually works in the course's favour. The open, suburban setting means wide fairways, good visibility, and very little of the claustrophobic tree pressure you find at some other Kelowna tracks. It's a layout that forgives a wayward shot without letting you completely off the hook.

Practice Facilities

This is where Two Eagles genuinely stands apart on the west side. It has the only driving range on this side of the bridge. For anyone living in West Kelowna, Westbank, or the surrounding area, that's significant. You don't need to cross into Kelowna just to warm up or work on your game.

The range is well set up with plenty of targets to aim at. There's a three tiered putting green and a separate chipping green with a deep practice bunker. Together with the driving range, it gives you everything you need to warm up properly or sharpen your scoring shots before heading out.

Pace of Play

One thing to know going in: pace of play can be slow at times. This is entirely a product of the course's popularity rather than poor management. Two Eagles is busy because it's good, and on peak days you'll feel that. Budget accordingly and you won't be caught off guard. Go in expecting a leisurely round and it becomes part of the experience rather than a frustration.

19 Okanagan Grill & Bar

A Must Eat

The 19 Okanagan Grill & Bar deserves its own section. A post round meal here is genuinely one of the best dining experiences in the Kelowna area. The patio view is exceptional, the atmosphere works whether you're coming straight off the course in your golf clothes or dressing it up for a proper dinner out, and the food matches the setting.

The menu has clear standouts. The Chili Chicken and Blackened Chicken are must orders, the Peppercorn Burger is one of the better burgers in Kelowna, and the Carvery Sandwich is a consistent favourite worth coming back for. These are the dishes regulars order every time.

One thing that genuinely sets the 19 apart: the kitchen takes dietary needs seriously. The owner's son has celiac disease, so gluten free options are built into the menu rather than bolted on as an afterthought. Cross contamination is understood and managed, which is rare. If you or someone in your group has dietary restrictions, mention it when you arrive and you'll be looked after properly.

The patio is the centrepiece, with views out over the course with the Okanagan hills in the background make it one of the best outdoor dining spots in the valley. Casual enough for a post round beer and burger, elegant enough for a proper dinner. It covers the full range and does both well.

Anyone living or staying on the west side of Kelowna who wants a convenient, high quality round. Golfers who want to warm up properly on a full range before heading to a bigger course. Groups looking for a great post round meal. The 19 Okanagan makes this a full day out, not just a round of golf.

Worth knowing if you're a low handicapper: The par 65 won't stretch you the same way Gallagher's Canyon or Tower Ranch will. That said, the course condition is exceptional and the practice facilities are the best on the west side. It's a great place to sharpen your game even if you're looking for more of a challenge on the scorecard.
